I am pleased to announce that CarsonDB is now a commercial product. The open source version will still remain open source, but will not be updated any longer. The reason I’ve changed CarsonDB to a commercial product is that I’ve added the ability to write back to the AVImark database. Obviously, writing data back to a proprietary database needs to be done cautiously. Therefore, this capability will not be given to the general public. Licenses will be given out by discretion to companies that can be vetted and have a legitimate reason to do so.
I want to be open about the base price. It is $15 per month per clinic with a $1,000 monthly minimum. All of this is negotiable based on many different factors.
